Welcome to Anchor Works Discover contemporary city living at Anchor Works, a brand new two-bedroom apartment within one of Cardiff’s most exciting purpose-built rental developments. Designed around more than simply providing somewhere to live, Anchor Works combines modern private accommodation with an impressive collection of resident facilities, professional on-site management and a location that places both Cardiff city centre and Cardiff Bay within easy reach. For tenants looking for the convenience of city living without giving up space, community or everyday amenities, Anchor Works offers a compelling alternative to a traditional rental apartment. A zero deposit option is also available, subject to the relevant terms and conditions. Contemporary Open-Plan Living At the heart of the apartment is a spacious open-plan kitchen and living area designed for modern everyday life. Whether you are relaxing at the end of the working day, entertaining friends or settling in for a quiet evening at home, the open-plan arrangement creates a flexible space that can adapt easily to different lifestyles. Floor-to-ceiling windows allow natural light to become an important part of the living environment, while blackout blinds provide privacy and help create a comfortable setting when required. The contemporary finish continues throughout the apartment, creating a clean and modern backdrop that allows residents to add their own personality and furnishings. Anchor Works even offers residents the option to paint feature walls, providing an unusual opportunity for tenants to make their rented apartment feel more individual and personal. A Kitchen Designed for Everyday Living The modern kitchen is integrated into the main living space and comes with a selection of appliances designed to make day-to-day life straightforward. The specification includes a ceramic induction hob, extractor, oven, fridge freezer and dishwasher. Whether you are preparing dinner after work, cooking for friends at the weekend or simply making your morning coffee before heading into the city, the kitchen has been designed to provide a practical and contemporary environment. The open-plan arrangement also means whoever is cooking remains connected with the main living space rather than being separated from it. Two Bedrooms and Modern Bathrooms The two-bedroom configuration makes the apartment particularly versatile. It could suit professional sharers looking for convenient access to central Cardiff, a couple wanting a second bedroom for guests or home working, or an individual looking for additional space alongside the main bedroom. Modern bathroom facilities complement the overall contemporary specification, with a main bathroom incorporating both bath and shower facilities and an additional en-suite shower room forming part of the development’s two-bedroom apartment specification. This combination is particularly useful for sharers and couples who value additional privacy and convenience. 24/7 Support on Your Doorstep One of the defining advantages of living at Anchor Works is the level of on-site support available to residents. A friendly professional team is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, providing an additional level of convenience that is rarely available within a conventional rental apartment. On-site maintenance support is also available, helping residents deal with maintenance matters without having to navigate the traditional landlord and contractor process themselves. Secure key card access and video door entry provide additional reassurance when arriving home or welcoming visitors. For busy professionals in particular, having a managed building with a dedicated team on hand can make renting considerably simpler. More Than an Apartment Anchor Works has been designed around the idea that residents should have access to spaces beyond their own apartment. Residents can make use of communal areas including a residents’ lounge and dedicated co-working facilities, providing additional places to work, meet neighbours or simply spend time away from the apartment. An on-site gym provides further convenience, allowing residents to incorporate exercise into their routine without needing to travel across Cardiff or maintain a separate journey to and from a gym. These shared facilities significantly extend the usable lifestyle space available to residents and are a major part of what distinguishes Anchor Works from more traditional apartment developments. Ideal for Hybrid and Home Working For anyone combining office and home working, Anchor Works is particularly well positioned. Dedicated co-working spaces mean you are not limited to working from a bedroom, dining table or sofa. Residents can separate their working environment from their private living accommodation while remaining within the development. For professionals who regularly work remotely, this can make a meaningful difference to day-to-day life, creating greater flexibility without requiring a larger apartment purely to accommodate a permanent office. Super-fast Wi-Fi packages are also available, allowing residents to select an option that suits their individual requirements. Pet-Friendly Cardiff Living Finding good-quality rental accommodation with a pet is not always straightforward, which makes Anchor Works’ pet-friendly approach another important benefit. The development welcomes pets, allowing residents to create a home without having to choose between their preferred property and their four-legged companion. Resident events can also form part of the Anchor Works community, with previous examples including activities such as puppy yoga and garden parties. The aim is to offer tenants the opportunity to become part of a community while still retaining the privacy and independence of their own apartment. Parking and EV Charging Available For residents who need a car, parking spaces are available to rent separately, subject to availability. Electric vehicle charging is also available, adding another useful option for residents using an EV. At the same time, Anchor Works’ central location means many everyday journeys can comfortably be completed on foot or using Cardiff’s rail and public transport network. This flexibility makes the development suitable both for tenants who rely on a vehicle and those who prefer a more walkable city lifestyle. Cardiff Central Station Within Walking Distance Location is one of Anchor Works’ strongest advantages. Cardiff Central railway station is approximately a 10-minute walk away, making the development particularly attractive to professionals commuting within South Wales or travelling regularly to destinations including Newport, Bristol and London. Cardiff Bay railway station is also approximately 10 minutes away on foot, providing another useful connection. Being positioned between central Cardiff and the Bay allows residents to enjoy two of the city’s most popular areas without being dependent on a car for every journey. Cardiff City Centre on Your Doorstep The city centre is within comfortable walking distance, opening up access to Cardiff’s extensive selection of shops, restaurants, cafés, entertainment venues and cultural attractions. St David’s Shopping Centre is approximately a 15-minute walk away, while Cardiff Market and the Castle Quarter Arcades can also be reached on foot. For sports and entertainment, Principality Stadium is around a 16-minute walk from the development, while Utilita Arena Cardiff is approximately 18 minutes away. Whether you are heading into town for shopping, attending a concert, meeting friends for dinner or watching an international rugby fixture, Anchor Works puts much of central Cardiff within walking distance. Enjoy Cardiff Bay Head in the opposite direction and Cardiff Bay provides an entirely different atmosphere. Mermaid Quay is approximately a 16-minute walk away and offers a wide variety of waterside restaurants, cafés and leisure destinations. Living this close to the Bay means weekend walks by the water, relaxed meals overlooking the waterfront and evenings out can all become part of everyday life rather than requiring a dedicated journey across the city. It is this position between the Bay and central Cardiff that gives Anchor Works much of its appeal. Everyday Essentials Close By Convenience extends beyond Cardiff’s major attractions. A Co-op is approximately four minutes away on foot, making everyday grocery shopping straightforward. Residents also have a growing range of cafés, restaurants and independent businesses within walking distance. Nearby options highlighted by Anchor Works include Donald’s Coffee Shop, The Piano Bar, Chan’s Noodle Bar, Maple & Bean café, Nata & Co Portuguese Bakery, Pizza Pilgrims and Fabulous Welsh Cakes. Residents can also benefit from selected local and nationwide offers and discounts arranged through the development, adding another dimension to the Anchor Works lifestyle. Green Space Within Reach Despite the highly convenient city location, several green spaces are also accessible from Anchor Works. Grange Gardens is approximately a 20-minute walk away, while Sevenoaks Park can be reached in around 27 minutes. Bute Park, one of Cardiff’s best-known green spaces, is approximately 30 minutes away on foot and provides extensive riverside walks, parkland and easy access towards Cardiff Castle and the city centre. For residents who want to combine urban convenience with opportunities to spend time outdoors, the location offers useful variety. A Different Approach to Renting Anchor Works has been created to offer more than the traditional landlord-and-tenant experience. Professional on-site management, 24/7 support, communal facilities, resident events, pet-friendly policies and opportunities to personalise your apartment all contribute to a rental experience built around flexibility and convenience. For tenants moving to Cardiff, the managed environment can be particularly attractive, while existing Cardiff residents may appreciate the opportunity to upgrade from a conventional apartment building to a development offering significantly more shared amenities. Make Anchor Works Your Cardiff Home With contemporary accommodation, excellent resident facilities and both Cardiff Bay and the city centre within walking distance, 1 Anchor Works offers a modern way to rent in the Welsh capital.
